GUIDANCE SEMINARS

Although the college application process begins in the spring of the junior year, students and parents should prepare for senior year starting in grade 9. The Guidance Timeline will provide students and parents/caregivers and overview of expectations for each school year.  The guidance counselors will work closely with all students to make a post-secondary plan that is right for them. Guidance counselors see students during Guidance Seminars and through individual appointments.

The schedule for the Guidance Seminars for the 2024-2025 school year is as follows:

September: SENIORS/Post-Secondary Planning
October: FRESHMEN - Guidance Overview and Graduation Requirements
January: JUNIORS & SOPHOMORES - PSAT Results Seniors-Scholarship Seminar
February: JUNIORS Scheduling Seminars
March: GRADES 8-11: Scheduling Seminars
April: SENIORS/Senior Final Plans / Juniors Scoir & College/Career Planning
May: SOPHOMORES - Scoir & Career Planning

View the Senior College Planning Checklist that was reviewed with seniors during the Senior Guidance Seminars. Seniors that are applying to a 4-year college should plan to use the checklist to ensure they are completing all of the tasks required.
