PEMBROKE HIGH SCHOOL'S NEASC DECENNIAL ACCREDITATION VISIT

After three years of planning and preparation, Pembroke High School welcomes a visiting team from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) from November 17-20. The team will be comprised of six educators from the following schools: Marshfield High School, Norton High School, Mansfield High School, Atlantis Charter School, Revere High School, and Duxbury High School.

The team will convene Sunday evening to prepare and then visit our school for three full days (Monday, Nov. 18 to Wednesday, Nov. 20), before meeting with our faculty after school on Wednesday during our monthly Faculty Meeting. We will not officially learn of our accreditation status until later this winter when the visiting team's report is complete.

The purpose of the visit is to see how well our school aligns with the NEASC Standards for Accreditation, a research-based set of practices and concepts that provide guidance to schools on all aspects of education - academic, civic, and social. We are fully expecting to remain an accredited institution after this visit.

Over the past month, we have held two parent informational sessions to help keep all stakeholders informed, and you can view that presentation by clicking here. We have held similar presentations without students over the past three school years, as our preparations for this event began back in the Fall of 2021 when our current seniors were in their freshmen year. For our entire faculty, it has been a long but rewarding process, and we are very much looking forward to hosting the team in three weeks.
